How to prepare for a plumber's visit so the work goes faster and more efficiently.

2 min read

Introduction

Proper preparation for a technician's visit can save time and money. Here's what you can do while waiting for the plumber.

Step by Step

  1. 1

Clear access to the problem area - remove items from under sink, bathtub, near meter.

  2. 2

If possible, shut off water supply at the problematic location.

  3. 3

Prepare towels and containers for possible water.

  4. 4

Write down a description of the problem - when it started, how often it happens, what you've tried.

  5. 5

If possible, take video or photos of the problem.

Warnings

  • Don't try to fix complex problems yourself - you may make the situation worse.
  • If the problem is an emergency (flooding, leaking) - the first step is always to shut off the water.

When to Call ABA?

The more accurately you describe the problem on the phone, the better the technician can prepare and bring the necessary materials.
